Mmmmmmmmm ChinaBus.

Newest member of the test fleet. I don't suspect it will bear itself well.

The tech itself is cool, but the overall material quality is nowhere near that of New Flyer or equivalent.

It's already showing what looks like structural fatigue with only 7000k on the clock. It sits too low to cope with our winters and curbs. Has no luminators. On and on. Even has engrish.

Good from afar but far from good.

No way I would get on that. Everything in China is made from cheap parts that'll die or blow up before the service warranty is up. Not even once, man.

Not everything. The thing about China is that they can make stuff at pretty much any given budget. Give them 100 bucks and they'll make you a great chair. Give them 2 cents and they make a chair that looks similar but breaks long before anyone gets to sit in it. And because nobody wants to buy expensive Chinese stuff we end up in a situation where most Chinese products are crap.

I remember when one city in Finland decided to test some Chinese electric bus. The passengers complained it was too loud compared to the diesel Volvos.

Genuinely curious to see how pretty much any BYD product goes over. I had the ehrm...privilege(?) of renting an F0 in Costa Rica. The car was terrible, but I had the good sense to get a manual, so we had a relatively good time blasting up and down the deliciously twisty mountain roads. It actually sort of grew on me by the time we were done.
